Anna Callaway Jeffries

Anna Callaway Jeffries was born and raised in Madison, Mississippi. From a young age, she had a love for drawing and all things creative. At 13, she began studying oil painting with a local artist, developing a foundation in traditional painting and drawing that would continue to shape her work. Anna went on to earn her BFA from Mississippi State University, with concentrations in Painting and Graphic Design.

After graduating in 2015, she moved to New York City and began a career as a brand and packaging designer, working with global consumer brands including Johnson & Johnson, Aveeno, Neutrogena, Zyrtec, and more. After nearly a decade focused primarily on graphic design, Anna has returned to her roots in fine art.

Now back home in Mississippi, she is rediscovering her love of painting and drawing while continuing to develop her artistic voice. She is particularly drawn to figurative work and the challenge of translating what she observes. She is continuing to develop her practice through life drawing, portraiture, figure painting, and landscape painting. Anna is a wife and a new mom, currently living in Brandon, MS.
